The Marin County Bicycle Coalition is proud to present Pedal-Driven – a Bikeumentary – on Thursday, March 22. Tickets are limited and on sale now, with proceeds benefitting MCBC and the Drake and Redwood teams of the NorCal High School Cycling League.

Pedal-Driven is a feature-length documentary film that takes you on a journey through the eyes of dozens of riders, rogue trail builders, public land managers, and mountain bike advocates to tell a story of long-standing confrontations between mountain bikers and federal land management agencies such as the U.S. Forest Service over bikers’ rights and access to public lands.

It’s more than just a bike flick: what differentiates Pedal-Driven from the hundreds of existing mountain bike films is its focus on social and environmental issues of national importance – how we determine legitimate and acceptable uses of our public lands. Certainly, beautiful cinematography and thrilling bike footage lend to the draw, but the purpose of the piece goes far deeper.

Buy tickets today here.

Super Heroes abound at the 3rd Annual Tamarancho 1000, held on Halloween.

Not only were there riders who were super heroes but an incredible effort by Tony Ruggiero and the Parent Committee made this event a huge success!

Thank you all so very much for putting together an organized, delicious and well staffed event. From the breakfast burritos to the burgers to the lap counters and course marshals, it was, like the awesome Drake MTB Team itself, a well oiled machine.

Many thanks go out to Julia Voilich and the Redwood gang as well for their part in making this a great success. Drake riders rode 114 laps and Redwood added another 51 for a total of 990 miles! Add Coaches laps and we were able to hit the official 1000 mark to make this a true Tamarancho 1000.

Again, thank you all for participating. This is a great start to what I am sure will be an incredible season for Drake MTB.

Roll Pirates!
